The Ataris - Tuesday 27th May - O2 Academy, Islington

Brief review:

A rare indoor headline show in the UK for Kris Roe and his punk-rock band from Indiana. This led to an extended set and very good it was too. Leaning heavily on the excellent "So Long, Astoria", the band even namechecked the ex London venue of the same name and showed decent local "Crossrail" knowledge! Hopefully they enjoyed the show and will be back sometime soon.

Venue and View:  End of the bar, half way back on the left

A return to New Cross for The Atari's frontman. As usual, an engaging and excellent performance and I think the crowd went home happy!

Kris Roe (The Ataris) - Monday 8th April - New Cross Inn

One Liner: Really impressed by the venue (not been here before) and enjoyed the show. Also had a quick chat with Kris afterwards who was very engaging. An Ataris show is promised for next year.

The Ataris - Friday 16th February - The Underworld, Camden

Brief Review: Excellent show from Kris Roe and band celebrating the 15th Anniversary of their classic "So Long, Astoria" disc. Despite me leaving the "print at home tickets" err.... at home... we were able to get into the venue in time, despite the band coming on 15 minutes earlier than advertised. The set included a number of solo performances that didn't seem to make it into many other shows, so we were lucky indeed. I had forgotten how good the aforementioned album was and so, this was a really good evening.
